Are you searching for a unique opportunity to make a difference? The Specialized Prosecutions Branch is looking for an organized and professional individual to be the first point of contact for a busy legal team; answering general inquiries related to the court process, screening and directing calls, and receiving and forwarding legal documents. Reception is integral to the effective operation of the Specialized Prosecutions Branch and its functions can impact the litigation process.
The position requires effective communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and strong interpersonal and telephone skills for dealing with a variety of clients, including: court personnel, witnesses, victims, the general public, the accused, and defense counsel. A solid understanding and knowledge of the Criminal Justice System is important in providing accurate information to these clients. Sound judgment is also essential as the safety and security of all employees depends on reception.
The successful candidate will be an organized self starter with the ability to work efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of people and possess. A strong working knowledge of office procedures, JOIN, Outlook, and WORD would be considered an asset.
High School Diploma plus a minimum of 1 year related experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office also required. Legal Assistant Diploma or Certificate considered an asset. Equivalencies will be considered.
$1,466.10 to $1,784.09 bi-weekly
