Are you a motivated administrative professional with a background in Continuous Improvement and Quality Assurance? If so - this may be the role for you! In this permanent role, you will support the Social Care Facilities Review Committee (SCFRC) by assisting the SCFRC Analysts and Manager with high quality administrative support skills. The Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement Branch has an exciting opportunity for you to make a big impact across the Ministry of Human Services while indirectly supporting vulnerable Albertans. You'll work within a flexible, collaborative and collegial environment, with teammates who support and encourage you along the way.
Using your excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to edit correspondence, you will support the creation of a positive working relationship with stakeholders of the SCFRC. Combined with your knowledge and experience of the Ministry of Human Services and understanding of the SCFRC Act and governance accountability framework, you will support your team by ensuring SCFRC members are supported, facility review packages for stakeholders are sent out in a timely manner, and all phone calls and action requests regarding the SCFRC are tracked and followed-up with. At times you will participate in Branch Meetings, assist in the orientation of new temporary staff, develop and maintain internal processes relating to office administration within the unit, and work collaboratively with members of the Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement Branch.
The successful candidate will support the SCFRC Analysts and Manager to assist a high profile committee that operates in a complex and politically sensitive environment. This position provides administrative support to the SCFRC team who are legislated according to the Social Care Facilities Review Committee Act. The overarching goal of this role is to support the Committee in fulfilling the requirements of its mandate and legislation by providing excellent administrative support. The incumbent is also responsible for planning and assisting the SCFRC Analysts in overseeing Committee meetings, visits, reports, and monitoring for any disclosures, allegations or descriptions of abuse and/or neglect.
This position requires a High School diploma and two years of directly related experience supporting a team in a highly complex political atmosphere.
Equivalency: Directly related experience or education is considered on the basis of one year of experience for one year of education or one year of education for one year of experience. Note that for education to be considered equivalent it must be directly related to public policy and administrative support.

$1,613.88 to $1,971.87 bi-weekly ($42,122 to $51,465 annually)
