Alberta Infrastructure is currently looking for a Junior Planner.
In this position, you can start your professional career by working with a planning team tasked with either the management of office and warehouse space within Infrastructure's owned and leased inventory or assist with developing solutions for accommodation requests for a portfolio of client Ministries. The positions provide support to senior planning staff through the preparation of reports, presentations and briefing materials. Considerable independence is delegated to these positions with opportunities for independent and team based project assignments.
These positions assist in the development of effective and efficient space usage through the development of asset strategies and tenant improvement projects to accommodate the program delivery requirements of Government of Alberta Ministries. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, as well as working knowledge of urban or space planning or interior design principles is required for these positions. Proven research, analysis and consultation skills would benefit these positions.
University graduation in a related field, preferably in Urban/Regional planning; Interior Design, Business or Architecture is required. Preference will be given to candidates with directly related accommodation, design or planning experience. Experience with AutoCAD is an asset. Equivalencies will be considered.
$2,113.48 to $2,772.38 Bi-weekly ($55,161 to $72,359 per annum)
