Calgary (one permanent position):
As part of the Business Support Team, you will provide a broad range of administrative services supporting staff in the South Saskatchewan Region. Key responsibilities include providing support to the Forest Management, Lands, Range and Fire programs which includes preparing stock returns and grazing applications, Fires data entry of daily manpower & equipment time tickets, processing of emergency firefighter cheques and contract invoices. You will also monitor an electronic document system and data entry for Forest Management permits. Additional duties include reception coverage, processing payments for permits or licenses; general typing, photocopying and records management.
Cochrane (one permanent position):
Reporting to the area Administrative and Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative and program support with a focus on providing client services. You will be responsible for file management, purchasing of office supplies, collecting and distributing mail, and preparing a variety of correspondence and reports. You will also administer finances for the office as required. This may include tasks such as completing deposits, blotters, expense claims, coding, and reconciliations. As the position supports the Fish and Wildlife program you will be required to handle dead and live wildlife.

ABOUT YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT:
In this role, you will primarily work in an office setting located in Calgary or Cochrane. You will have regular and on-going contact with team members, other Department staff, staff from other ministries and members of the public.
High School Diploma and a minimum of 2 years progressively responsible experience in an administrative role is required. Experience with computers and applications, such as Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and Outlook), is necessary. Front-line client service and financial administration experience is desirable. Experience using FIRES and IMAGIS systems would be considered assets. Equivalencies will be considered. Candidates with lesser qualifications may be considered at a lower level and salary.
$1,582.24 - $1,933.21 bi-weekly ($41,296 - $50,456 per annum)
