Alberta Justice and Solicitor General
We are looking for a highly motivated, confident individual with strong communication and organizational skills to provide administrative support for this dynamic environment! This is a fast paced position, dealing with situations that require good problem solving skills.
Reporting to the Supervisor of a Community Corrections Office, you will be responsible for a variety of functions including supervising the administrative staff in the office and assigning duties, working with the Leadership team to anticipate and plan for the running of the office, preparing correspondence for the Leadership team, compiling and distributing monthly statistics, maintaining financial records, ensuring that offender files are created and handled according to policy, as well as purchasing and maintaining inventory for the office(s). Advanced computer skills are imperative as you will enter and update information on a mainframe computer on various software programs, and maintain case files with electronic case notes.
High School Diploma plus several years of related administrative experience, Government experience is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems is required. Knowledge of the criminal justice system and court procedures is an asset. Experience with Government systems (ORCA, ETMS, JOIN and IRIS) is an asset. Equivalencies may be considered.
It is recommended that applicants who have obtained educational credentials from outside of Canada and have not had them previously assessed, obtain an evaluation of their credentials from the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) -
It is recommended that applicants include the assessment certificate from IQAS or any other educational assessment service as part of their application.
$1,521.38 - $1,858.86 Bi-weekly
Final candidates for this position will be asked to undergo a security screening. This competition may be used to fill current and future vacancies across the Government of Alberta.
