Hardisty Family Relief Home is a 24 hour residential care facility, providing respite care for children with disabilities. Currently, we are looking for an energetic person to join our team to assist with weekend, summer and cover off shifts.
Working as a team member, you will provide quality care and support for children with multiple disabilities to promote growth, autonomy, comfort and safety. This will involve planning and implementing appropriate activities to meet individual needs, providing information and support to family members and guardians, responding to health care needs as well as, emergency and routine health and safety situations. Heavy lifting is a requirement to effectively lift and transport children, equipment and supplies.
Availability on short notice is a requirement. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required for recording/reporting of information. Candidates must be available for shift work, which may include mornings, days, evenings and weekends.

You require a Grade 12 diploma with some related experience working in group living, residential care or related care setting. Experience working with children with developmental disabilities is an asset. Good physical strength and manual dexterity to properly lift and transport clients and to move equipment and supplies is required. Current certification in CPR, First Aid and training in medication administration is essential.
$19.10 to $21.96 per hour
