Agriculture and Rural Development
Are you an energetic, organized administrative professional looking for an opportunity to advance? The Agri-Environmental Management Branch of Agriculture and Rural Development is looking for you.
As the Branch Administrator, you will be responsible for a wide range of senior level administrative support services for a dynamic team of managers, program specialists and technical staff in offices located across the province. As an essential contact for the Branch, you will be responsible for matters relating to financial administration; such as, budgeting, forecasting and accounts payable. Your competence in systems thinking will be a benefit as you will handle Branch matters related to human resources, IT, correspondence, and records management. Your technical aptitude for financial management will serve you well, as you will take a lead role in budget forecasting, reviewing online time entries, invoice coding and financial reporting on expenditures and revenues. Highly developed collaboration and communication skills; both written and verbal will set you up for success as you will prepare contracts and grant agreements, draft and edit Action Requests, and provide direct support to the branch head and division management team.
A keen attention to detail, a customer service focus and the ability to manage timelines are a must. As part of the administrative team for the Division, the Branch Administrator will be the point person for the Branch and will also provide cover off for the Division Administrator. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team while demonstrating the APS Values of respect, integrity, accountability and excellence in everything you do is essential to your success.
Completion of a high school diploma with a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible administrative experience. Completion of a secretarial or administrative or related diploma is an asset. Intermediate experience with MS Office Suite and related Government of Alberta programs such as; Exclaim, IMAGIS and ARTS would be considered an asset.
$1,724.26 to $2,111.09 bi-weekly ($45,003 to $55,099 annually)
