Peace River Correctional Centre is currently offering permanent full-time Correctional Peace Officer positions for the female living unit. As a Correctional Peace Officer, you will perform a variety of security functions to ensure the safe care, custody and control of inmates as well as the safety of staff and the public. In this busy correctional environment, you will monitor inmate movement and manage inmate behaviour, conduct counts of inmates, complete searches of inmates and the centre and complete all administrative duties including logbook entries and reports.
Being primarily assigned to the female living unit, you will use your well-developed interpersonal skills and professionalism to establish and maintain positive relations with inmates, staff and the public. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate their leadership, conflict management, problem-solving, and communication skills.

High school diploma (or equivalent) plus a minimum of two years related education or experience. Equivalencies considered. Experience working with a female population will be considered an asset.
Salary: $1,875.83 - $2,559.60 biweekly
Peace River is located 486 Km Northwest of Edmonton and 198 Km Northeast of Grande Prairie.

1) Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level-C Certification;
2) Current Driver's Abstract; and
3) Current Criminal Records Check.
