Strategic Services is the branch within Business Information and Technology (BIT) division that provides leadership and governance for the implementation of department IT services and initiatives for ARD. In a Service Support Analyst role, you will provide end-user support related to ARD's virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), web content and collaboration tools, and support other operational work.
This position will work with other IT professionals and be assigned duties that require a thorough knowledge of virtual desktop environment, collaboration tools, and smartphone technologies combined with excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with non-technical clients. You will use incident and problem management skills to assess and troubleshoot issues and perform appropriate corrective action. All responsibilities are completed in accordance with Service Alberta incident management and request fulfillment processes, ensuring BIT is able to achieve the Government of Alberta (GoA) and ARD Service Desk service delivery targets.
A university degree in a computer science related field is required for the role. Relevant experience considered for this position includes support and administration of server operating systems (Windows and Linux); content and collaboration systems (SharePoint, Opinio); networking technologies (TCP/IP, SMTP, DNS); desktop and application virtualization systems (VDI); and smartphone and tablet devices (BB, iOS). Equivalencies of a 2-year IT-related Diploma and at least 2 years of related experience; a 1-year IT-related Certificate and at least 3 years of related experience will be considered. An ITIL certification is considered to be an asset.
$2,072.36 - $3,108.05 bi-weekly
($54,088 - $81,120 annually)
