Then look no further! The Peace River Correctional Centre has a casual wage opportunity to cover-off for staff illness, vacation, and project work as required.
The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills; who is highly organized with excellent word processing skills. Duties include reception, filing, word processing, data entry, and receiving and processing mail. There is the opportunity for training in other areas within the Centre. The successful candidate will have the ability to work with minimal supervision and deal with staff and the public with tact and diplomacy.
As this position requires the handling of information that is of a sensitive nature, a high degree of confidentiality and diplomacy is required. Your efficiency, combined with strong organizational skills, will ensure your success in managing multiple tasks and timelines in this high volume environment. Teamwork, flexibility, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines will assist you in this position.
High School Diploma plus related administrative experience is required. Experience with Microsoft Office is required. Previous experience working with multi-line switchboard and database systems would be an asset. Equivalencies will be considered.
$19.82 - $24.12 per Hour
Note: This is a Casual On Call position with no guaruntee of hours. Final candidates will be asked to undergo a security screening. This job opening may be used to fill current and future vacancies within the Government of Alberta.
