The Calgary Remand Centre is looking for mature, self-motivated, reliable individuals to join their team!
As a Correctional Peace Officer, you ensure the safe care, custody and control of inmates as well as ensuring the safety of staff and the public. You supervise inmates, monitor inmate movement, conduct patrols and maintain log book and records.
Well developed interpersonal skills, self confidence and professional conduct are essential to this position. You must have the ability to function positively and productively in a team environment. Proven skills in the areas of verbal and written communication, along with basic computer skills are necessary. Proven leadership and conflict management skills will ensure your success in this role.
High School diploma plus two years of related experience or a directly related post secondary diploma or degree. Equivalencies considered.
$24.20 - $29.68 per hour
Successful candidates must be available for a variety of shifts on an on-call basis. Hours of work are not guaranteed.
