The Alberta Agricultural Products Marketing Council (Marketing Council) is responsible for Alberta's 21 agricultural marketing boards and commissions established under the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act.
Reporting to the General Manager of the Marketing Council, you will take a lead role in coordinating the process and information requirements pertaining to the development of new or amended regulations supporting the 21 marketing boards and commissions, policy decision documents, and Marketing Council and Appeal Tribunal member appointments.
You will be responsible for ensuring the regulatory amendment and approval processes are conducted and documented in accordance with approved GOA and ARD processes and requirements, and that all appointments align with the requirements of the Alberta Public Agencies Governance Act. In addition, you will monitor and report on the status of relevant regulations, appointments and decision documents and support the legislative and regulatory planning process through the creation and tracking of required documentation.
To be successful, will have strong organizational and time management skills, work resourcefully and independently with limited supervision, and build strong and effective working relationships with a broad range of individuals, inside and outside the department. Demonstrated knowledge of the legislative process, as well as the regulatory review process within the Government of Alberta is required for the role.
Two-year diploma in a related field such as office administration, plus three years of relevant experience with administration of regulations and legislation is required. Equivalencies will be considered.
$1,910.26 - $2,485.01 bi-weekly
$49,857 - $64,858 annually
