Peace River - It's time to take your exceptional leadership and communication skills to the next level! The Peace River Correctional Centre is looking for a permanent full time Deputy Director Operations to join their management team.
In this position you will work a 7.75 hour rotational shift for a 24/7 operation consisting of 6 days on and 3 days off and be responsible for the daily operation of the Centre. Reporting directly to the Centre Director, you will be accountable for all administration, managerial and operational functions of your assigned shift. You will ensure that all tasks are carried out in accordance with policies and directives. Using your strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will participate in staff recruitment, training, mentoring, evaluation, supervision and performance management. Your excellent administration skills will be applied in security audits, budget management, report writing and in the development of Centre Standard Operating Procedures. You will also provide input on a variety of standing and special committees. In the absence of the Centre Director, you may be requested to act on his behalf.
Your strong problem solving skills coupled with your superior leadership abilities and well-developed decision making abilities will ensure your success in this role.

(Successful candidate will be asked to make a three year commitment to this location. Transfers may be considered upon completion of this term.)
A university degree in a related field plus considerable related experience at the supervisory or management level is required. Experience within the Correctional Services Division would be an asset. Equivalencies will be considered. A valid Alberta Driver's license is required for this position.
Salary Range $2,936.39 to $3,951.53 bi-weekly
