Region 7 North Central Alberta Child and Family Services Authority is on the search for a new team member who is motivated and has a sincere commitment to Alberta's families and children.
In this role you will be the initial contact and will be required to provide information on the intent and purpose of the Family Support for Children with Disabilities Program. This role will give you the opportunity to use your assessment, problem solving, organizational and time management skills to collaborate with families in assessing their needs and advising them of the supports and services available to them and their children. You will also be provided the opportunity to put your team building skills to the test by working in consultation with the FSCD Supervisor and with a variety of ancillary service providers and community partners. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to help you build relationships with families to help provide them with the best supports and services along with facilitating changes to their individualized Family Support Plans.
Bachelor of Social Work with some related experience, OR a Masters of Social Work with no experience; OR a related university degree and 2 years related experience; OR a related diploma and 3 years related experience.
$2,368.82 - $3,062.14 bi-weekly
As the Health Professions Act has been proclaimed, successful applicants who possess a BSW, MSW or Diploma in Social Work are required to register prior to commencement of employment and maintain registration with the College of Social Workers.
The successful candidate will be required to have a valid Alberta Driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle as travel will be required. The final candidate for this position will be asked to undergo academic verification, provide an Intervention Record Check, and provide a Criminal Records Check that includes a Vulnerable Sector check. The successful candidate will require working knowledge of Microsoft products. This Job Opening may be used for similar future vacancies either temporary or permanent within this and other communities of Northeast Alberta Child and Family Services Authority, Region 7.
