Honourable Robin Campbell, Minister of Aboriginal Relations, is seeking applications from individuals interested in serving as a public member on the Northern Alberta Development Council.
The Northern Alberta Development Council is a regional development council of, and for, northerners. Its mission is to advance northern development through regional initiatives in partnership with the private sector and community-based organizations, and other government agencies. The Council consists of nine public members and a Chair who is a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta.
To be eligible you should have senior leadership experience; demonstrated experience working with private and/or public sector organizations within northern Alberta; are currently residing in the High Level/La Crete/Manning or surrounding areas; and are a permanent resident of Canada.
There is no salary attached to the position, however, there is an honorarium available and members may also receive compensation for eligible travel expenses. Members must also be able to devote a couple of days per month to the Council.
Appointment: A public member is appointed for a term up to four years and may be eligible for reappointment.
