Member of a dynamic team and reporting to the Manager Business Services, the Divisional Budget Coordinator is responsible for leading the divisional budgeting and forecasting processes in accordance with Treasury board guidelines and regulations. You will also monitor financial accountability of divisional grant and contract agreements and financial reporting of Government Agencies.
As the successful candidate, you will be assisting your manager in providing information, advice and recommendations to senior management, helping them in their strategic decision making. You will also assist in providing information to the management of the division, including written briefings on current and 3-years budget issues, fiscal and administrative implications of proposed policies, as well as the processes used in budgeting and business planning.
Your in-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and thorough knowledge of financial planning concepts and government-wide financial requirements, combined with your excellent communication skills will enable you to successfully perform your duties. Your knowledge of the GOA accountability policies and processes will be definitely an asset.
We are looking for a University graduate from business program with accounting major or equivalent. Experience in budgeting and forecasting is preferable. Knowledge of the Government of Alberta policies and procedures, experience working with grants and contracts and accounting designation will be an asset.
$1,839.49 to $2,714.05 bi-weekly
