Central Alberta Child & Family Services Authority, Stettler Office is seeking a permanent part-time (0.4) administrative professional to join our team. We want to hear from positive and friendly individuals with strong administrative skills who have the ability to multi-task, set priorities, meet deadlines and produce accurate and quality work and who want to have work life balance by working only two days per week. Candidates should possess a high aptitude for financial processing and attention to detail.
- ISIS (Intervention Services Information Systems) mainframe system entry, update and maintenance in all program areas which include Child Intervention, Family Enhancement, etc.
- Departmental Accounts Payable and Contract Management Administrative Systems coding and processing including data entry;
- Word processing of legal documents and other correspondence.
- Assist/Act as a resource person in training new staff and co-workers on new computer systems, clerical procedures and policies.
- Solicit information from the public (telephone or in person) to determine client need for referral to appropriate worker or to community resources.
- Reception and filing duties on rotational basis
As the ideal candidate you will demonstrate professionalism, initiative, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to working in a team environment. Strong interpersonal skills are essential to this position as is the ability to manage confidential information and customer inquiries.
High School diploma plus office administration training and related experience. Experience in Microsoft Office is essential. Experience with filing systems, data entry, and accounts payable is considered an asset. If you possess any or all of these qualifications, they must be noted in your resume. Please note work experience in months and years. Typing and word skills proficiency test is required.
$574 to $699 bi-weekly (40% of $1,437 to $1,749 bi-weekly)
Final candidates for this position will be asked to undergo a security screening Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Check) and Children's Services Intervention Check.
Transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of the Ministry. Travel is a requirement of this position therefore, the successful candidate must have a valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
An eligibility list may be established from certified candidates stemming from this competition, and these candidates may be considered to fill future vacancies in the region. Candidates with lesser qualifications may be considered at a lower classification position.
This is a permanent part-time position
