Justice and Solicitor General
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong communication and organizational skills to provide administrative support for our Community Corrections office in Cold Lake
The successful candidate will be a self-starter, have the ability to work in a dynamic environment, be able to multi-task, have strong communication skills, exceptional computer skills, change priorities as needed, meet tight deadlines, and function both independently and within a team environment.
Reporting to the Senior Probation Officer, you will be responsible for a variety of functions including preparing correspondence, drafting reports for the courts from handwritten material, compiling and distributing monthly statistics, maintaining financial records, preparing initial documentation on new cases according to policy, as well as purchasing, inventory, and reception. Advanced computer skills are imperative as you will enter and update information on a mainframe computer and various software, schedule and reschedule appointments for Probation Officers, and maintain case files with electronic case notes.
High School Diploma plus several years of recent progressively responsible administrative and supervisory experience is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other database systems is required. Government experience along with knowledge of applicable government programs (JOIN, ORCA, ETMS & IRIS) would be an asset. Equivalencies will be considered.
$1,582.24- $1,933.21 Bi-Weekly
Final candidates for this position will be asked to undergo a security screening. This competition may be used to fill future vacancies.
