Human Services Worker 5 (2 Positions)
In this role you will work closely, with medical staff within various clinics, to ensure much needed information sharing is occurring between the medical field and the Region 6 Edmonton & Area Child and Family Services Authority (CFSA).
Key activities of this role include the coordination of medical services and follow up that will assist our staff in attaining timely medical services for children served by Region 6. As well, this position will aid in the sharing of required medical histories when necessary with our staff using systems such as Netlink. Working in a collaborative manner, as part of a larger overall team, the successful candidate must demonstrate an ability to work independently and create effective partnerships that will aid them in their consultation and support for services that benefit our shared clients.
Your extensive knowledge of Intervention Services legislation and policy, child abuse and neglect, child development, team building and community resources will assist you in this role. Well developed clinical skills are essential as are excellent communication, consultation and organizational skills and the ability to handle a wide variety of work demands within short timeframes.
MSW/BSW supplemented by considerable related experience in the area of child intervention is required. Experience working with communities and families as well as being able to be a strong voice within a multi-disciplinary team is essential. Previous case management experience in medical/healthcare setting would be considered an asset. Experience in or knowledge of Aboriginal communities would be an asset. Experience dealing with a multi-cultural and multi-language caseload would be beneficial.
$2,368.82 - $3,062.14 Bi-weekly
- Successful applicants who have an MSW, BSW, or SW Diploma (SW Dip from an Alberta College) will be required to register and maintain registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers.
- The successful candidate will require a valid Alberta Driver's License and have access to a reliable vehicle that meets the requirements of the Authority.
- Final candidates for this position will be asked to undergo a security screening and an Intervention Services Prior Involvement check.
