Tomorrow's leaders begin with safe, caring and healthy homes. You can have a significant role in helping the children and youth in Edmonton and surrounding areas in finding these homes. Are you the person to help these youth?
As an Outreach Coordinator, you will identify and connect with community stakeholders to encourage more people to become adoptive or foster families. In this incredibly rewarding position, you will develop, maintain and expand upon opportunities to build relationships with existing and new stakeholders for the purpose of caregiver recruitment. As part of a larger team, you will liaise with key stakeholders to coordinate presenters and presentation sites. You will also have the opportunity to deliver presentations to prospective caregivers and see how your efforts directly help a child find a safe, loving and permanent home.
A related university degree and one year related experience is required. Previous experience in a human services role and foster care would be a definite asset. Strong engagement, communication and presentation skills are essential for this role. The ability to identify and work collaboratively with key community stakeholders is essential. Familiarity of with legislation related to Adoption, Foster Care and Kinship Care programs is beneficial. This position requires a flexible work schedule that may include evenings and weekends. Equivalencies may be considered.
$2,089.09 - $2,692.53 Bi-weekly
Final candidates for this position will be asked to undergo a security screening. Successful applicants who have a SW Diploma, BSW or MSW will be required to register and maintain registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers.
