We currently have an excellent opportunity for an individual who possesses a construction and procurement background, with experience in construction contract administration, bidding requirements, technical specifications, and the preparation of Requests for Qualifications (RFQ?s) and Requests for Proposals (RFP?s). In this role, you will be responsible for providing overall procurement management services. Experience with design-bid-build, construction management and design-build project delivery methods, as well as contract law and trade agreements are an asset that would contribute to the success in the position.
You will be working with a large variety of contracts including those related to professional consulting services, construction, renovation and facility management. You will ensure that tender and RFP documents properly address contract scope, time, costs, quality, and performance requirements. You will also ensure that the Department's policies and standards related to procurement, contracting and specifications are maintained. As well in this role, you will respond to tender, RFQ and RFP inquiries, evaluate bids and responses to RFQ?s and RFP?s, and make contract award recommendations.
As our successful candidate, your demonstrated, above-average analytical, decision-making skills, along with your ability to organize and manage a multitude of issues and projects, will be necessary to achieve the quality of work and results required. Your exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, Adobe Acrobat, written and verbal communication skills, as well as overall effective interpersonal skills are paramount in this role.

Two-year post-secondary diploma in architectural, engineering, construction technology, construction project management, or a related field coupled with at least 6 years of experience, which may include: construction contract, capital construction, facility management, and/or engineering or architectural related experience is required.
Experience in reviewing and preparing tender, RFQ or RFP documents, and contracts used in a public sector procurement environment is preferred. Accreditation as a Certified Construction Contract Administrator, Registered Specification Writer, or Certified Construction Specifier, while not essential, would also be considered an asset.
Equivalencies considered. Those with lesser qualifications may be considered in an under-fill capacity.
$33.49 to $43.97 per hour
