Reporting to the Regional Records Supervisor, the Records Assistant is responsible for assisting in maintaining the overall operation of the centralized Regional Records for Calgary and Area Child and Family Services.
In this position you will:
- Track incoming and outgoing files in logbook
- Complete file requests coming from worksites
- Assist the team in completing file inventory
- Receive mail packages from worksites
- Complete loose filing on existing files at Regional Records
- Order files from offsite storage
- Receive incoming files for storage at Regional Records and file on shelves
- Complete data entry relating to incoming/outgoing files
Success in this position will require excellent judgment and professionalism as well as the ability to effectively work with a diverse group of staff. A high degree of confidentiality and discretion as well as the ability to respond to multiple requests is required for this position. The successful candidate will have excellent problem solving capabilities and an ability to manage a large volume of work that is time sensitive and requires close attention to detail.
A High School Diploma, plus a minimum of 6 months related records management experience is required. Experience in Microsoft Office including Word and Outlook is required. Knowledge of the programs and services offered by Child and Family Services would be an asset.
$1,310 to $1,582 bi-weekly
This position will be required to lift boxes in weight of approximately 20 lbs.
This is a temporary position to on or before March 31, 2014.
