Reporting to the Senior Manager of Adoption Services, this position is responsible for the provision of provincial services and direct delivery of the Government, International, Private Agency, Step-Parent and Private Direct Adoption Programs.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing initiatives to increase adoption/private guardianship for children in government care, for developing international working arrangements with countries of origin and for overseeing the private adoption programs. Ability to manage the provincial adoption matching process and reviewing the work of private licensed adoption agencies to ensure they are adhering to legislation, regulations and practice standards in delivering the international and domestic adoption programs are required for this position.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for this position as you will be managing the media recruitment program, preparing Action Requests and updating information to ensure international adoption programs from other countries are accurate and current. Providing consultation and training to stakeholders on government, international and private adoption programs are also responsibilities of this position.
To be successful in this position, you must demonstrate excellent case management skills, service delivery and communication skills both verbal and written. Your strong practice skills as well as your ability to build relationships with CFSAs, DFNAs, private licensed adoption agencies and stakeholders around the world and at all levels of the organization will be critical in this role.
Bachelor of Social Work and related experience in government, international and private adoption programs are preferred. Equivalences will be considered.
$2,692.53 - $3,486.76 Bi-weekly
