Human Services Worker 1
We are seeking a self-motivated individual with excellent organizational and strong communication and interpersonal skills. In this role, you will provide support to Human Service Workers to complete non-delegated social work duties. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the supervision of family visits; court applications; completion of social and family histories and life books; client file reviews and completion of reports. In addition you will review professional service contracts; assisting clients'; access resources; review and update financial plans and respond to telephone calls on behalf of the caseworkers.
Your well-developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills will enable you to provide excellent service to our clients. You must also be highly motivated and have the ability to work independently and work flexible hours.
A Social Work Diploma. Some experience/exposure to Human Services programs would be an asset. Computer skills in Microsoft Office are required.
For individuals who have obtained educational credentials from outside of Canada, it is recommended that you obtain an evaluation of your credentials from the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) and include the IQAS assessment certificate as part of your application. $24.81 - $31.26 /hour

Final candidates for this position will be asked to undergo an academic and Intervention Record Check. Please note, successful applicants for this position will be asked to provide a suitable security check. In order to expedite this process please be prepared to present a Criminal Records Check that includes a Vulnerable Sector screening check at the time of the interview.
