Our Divisional Program Services unit at Alberta Infrastructure has an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and professional financial administrative individual to work as our Senior Contracts Administrator. Within this challenging and fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for processing consultant and construction contracts and invoices to support the delivery of major capital projects and supported facilities projects managed by the Division. You will ensure that charges are consistent with contract terms and adhere to financial policies and directives. You will work with project managers, contractors and consultants in processing financial documents and tracking expenditures.
As a Senior Contract Administrator, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining contract manuals and identifying areas for improvement in policies and procedures through recommendations applicable to Divisional needs. Your excellent communication skills are required to provide advice to internal and external clients on contracts, financial transactions, policies and procedures, as well as to effectively explain policies and articulate interpretations. Your focus on teamwork and the promotion of a productive work climate, as well as overall morale and cooperation is of paramount importance and is highly valued in this role.
There is a high volume of work which must be efficiently processed to meet contract and invoice process deadlines. As our successful candidate, you have the ability to work quickly, accurately and with a high degree of independence and initiative. The ability to multi-task and adjust to changing priorities is critical. In addition, you will be extremely organized; possess strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent computer support skills, and well-developed interpersonal skills.
High School Diploma supplemented by a minimum of 3 years of related experience in contract administration, financial administration and/or financial management is required. Experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook will be considered an asset, as will experience with government financial systems such as IMAGIS or Contract Management System (CMS). Experience working within the construction industry would be a strong asset. Candidates with lesser qualifications may be considered at a lower level and salary.
$1,724.26 to $2,111.09 bi-weekly ($45,003 to 55,099 per annum)
