Are you interested in playing a key role in addressing province-wide accommodation needs? Do you excel at relationship building, communication, and collaboration? If so, the Property Development Branch within Alberta Infrastructure is looking for a Senior Accommodation Planner to support the provision of efficient and effective space for Government of Alberta Programs.
Reporting to the Planning Manager, the successful applicant will work with a portfolio of client Ministries and to develop short and long term strategies to accommodate programs within owned and leased space. The position will work in a complex environment with many partners, stakeholders and clients, and therefore must manage varying interests in support of the client Ministry space requirements. This position is responsible for identifying emerging issues, challenges and opportunities and provides space solution options to effectively accommodate the client Ministries while ensuring good value for the Government of Alberta
Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication and negotiation skills will be key for the Senior Accommodation Planner to effectively represent the client Ministries and lead stakeholder consultations during the development of accommodations strategies and business cases. The successful applicant will have excellent problem solving and analytical skills to address complex space issues and must be able to work within tight timelines. Experience with Facilities Planning or Business Space Support, coupled with an understanding of project delivery will also help the successful applicant contribute to the vision that the Alberta Government has for the future of owned and leased buildings across the province.
A degree in a related field, preferably in, Interior Design, Architecture, Urban/Regional planning, or Business Administration is required. A minimum of 4 years related experience is also required. Experience in budgeting, along with the knowledge of design and construction standards would be an asset. Equivalencies will be considered.
$2,596.42 to $3,403.56 bi-weekly ($67,767 to 88,833 per annum)
