Honourable Thomas Lukaszuk, Deputy Premier and Minister of Enterprise and Advanced Education, is seeking applications from individuals interested in serving as a public member on the Northern Alberta Development Council.
The Northern Alberta Development Council is a regional development council of, and for, northerners. Its mission is to advance northern development through regional initiatives in partnership with the private sector and community-based organizations, and other government agencies. The Council consists of nine public members and is chaired by Pearl Calahasen, Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta.
To be eligible you should have senior leadership experience; demonstrated experience working with private and/or public sector organizations within northern Alberta; are currently residing in Athabasca or surrounding areas; and are a permanent resident of Canada.
Appointment: A public member is appointed for a term up to four years and may be eligible for reappointment. There is no salary attached to this position, however, there is an honorarium available and members may also receive compensation for eligible travel expenses. Members must also be able to devote a couple of days per month to the Council.
