Are you an accomplished professional with extensive clinical experience in Speech Language Pathology? Alberta Aids to Daily Living (AADL) is looking for you to apply your clinical expertise and experience in the areas of program delivery, policy development, product analysis and education.
As the Speech Language Pathology Consultant, you contribute to policy development and interpretation by providing the medical and clinical expertise which ensures that policies are appropriate for addressing the needs of AADL clients while being consistent with the program's mandate. You are an effective and reliable resource to both internal and external resources. Your specialized clinical knowledge supports benefit approvals and ensures accurate, effective and efficient delivery of program benefits.
Self-motivated and enthusiastic about new technologies, you are able to support negotiation activities through research and education activities. Your superior communication skills allow you to articulate recommendations based on evidenced based research and clinical experience. You are flexible and strategic in your approach with an ability to anticipate future needs as they relate to the healthcare system.
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology, plus a minimum of 4 years professional technical/clinical experience pertaining to augmentative communication benefits is required.
Licensure with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA) is also required. Experience working with multiple stakeholders is essential. Experience in public policy development, working within a public health care system and AADL program policies would be considered an asset.
$3,060.71 to $3,898.45. $79,884 to $ 101,749 annually.
This is a one year temporary opportunity. Part-time arrangements may also be considered.
