An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, capable and self-motivated administrative professional within the Finance Branch serving Alberta Infrastructure.
Reporting to the Coordinator of Financial Reporting and Operations, this position monitors and controls the quality of accounts payable documentation being forwarded to Service Alberta for payment to ensure that payment documents comply with the requirements of the Financial Administration Act, the Manual of Financial Management and Ministry specific policies and procedures. This position has involvement in identifying opportunities for improvements in the review process to eliminate non-value added activities to achieve better efficiency. This position is also responsible for reviewing and approving contract payments in the Contract Management System (CMS). Maintaining confidentiality is essential in this role. The successful candidate will have superior organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and pays close attention to detail.
A high school diploma with two years of directly related experience in accounts payable is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Word and Excel) is also required. Additional education or coursework in Accounting Administration (or similar) is preferred. Experience with Contract Payments, IMAGIS (PeopleSoft), and /or CMS will be an asset.
$1,582.24 to $1,933.21 bi-weekly ($41,296 to $50,456 per annum)
