Under the supervision of the Field Operations Assistant, you will be responsible for routine maintenance of seed orchards, orchard cone picking and seed handling related to the 2013 cone crop from tree seed orchards managed by the Alberta Tree Improvement & Seed Centre near Smoky Lake.
You must be physically able to perform the work associated with orchard maintenance and cone picking operations. Ability to operate equipment in a safe manner with minimal supervision is an asset. The ability to work on ladders is required.
ABOUT YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work is performed outdoors in orchards and you will be required to work with equipment such as lifts and ladders in order to perform the work.
Some high school education. Post secondary education in forestry or horticulture is an asset. Directly related work experience may be considered in lieu of education. Training in First Aid, CPR and a valid Class 5 Driver's Licence is desired.
$18.94 - $23.17per hour
This is a one month wage opportunity until Sept 6, 2013.
