The Exhibit Central Unit is unique in the province due to the fact that is responsible for the security, processing, accountability and return/disposal of court exhibits from all three levels of court.

The Edmonton Transcript Management Office in Court Services has a temporary opportunity. If you are highly motivated, have good communication skills and good computer skills we would like to hear from you!
As a clerk in the Exhibit Control Unit you would be responsible for the security, processing, accountability and return/disposal of court exhibits from all three levels of court within Edmonton Law Courts. You will support the work of judiciary, counsel, and public in the Alberta Justice system.
This position is responsible, but not limited to the following duties:
- administration of exhibits (identification, registration, storage, security, audits, etc.)
- assistance to the public and legal community
- legislation and documentation (preparation of reports, memos, legal documents, etc.)
- supervision of the unit (cover-off capacity)
Knowledge of Word and/or WordPerfect, Outlook and/or GroupWise is required. Supervisory experience is also required.

- Judicial Clerk: High School diploma and minimum six months of related experience.
- Senior Judicial Clerk: High School diploma and minimum two years of related experience, including 18 months of directly related experience as a Judicial Clerk and the successful completion of the departmental para-legal program.
Equivalencies will be considered.
Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as WordPerfect and/or GroupWise is required. Experience with JOIN and CASES, supervisory experience, and experience in a court setting will be considered an asset.
$1,511.95 - $1,842.84 bi-weekly (Judicial Clerk)
$1,779.72 - $2,184.24 bi-weekly (Senior Judicial Clerk)
This temporary position (with a great possibility of extension) is set to expire on July 19, 2014.
This competition may be used to fill future temporary or permanent vacancies. Final applicants may be required to undergo a security screening.
This position involves heavy lifting of boxes up to 25 lb., as well as long periods of standing or sitting while receiving and controlling exhibits.
