Are you looking for an opportunity to engage others by demonstrating strong leadership abilities in a faced paced environment? If so, then MEP has a position for you. We are seeking a results-orientated, energetic and service focused leader for the Director of Collections position.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the incumbent is responsible for providing senior leadership to ensure that MEP has clear goals and strategies for collecting monies owed and managing complex and challenging cases. The Director is also responsible for providing leadership and support to approximately 80 staff members located in Edmonton and Calgary.
The successful candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, an ability to deal with complex issues, as well as excellent skills in organization and problem solving. Experience managing diverse and dynamic teams will assist in setting direction and building solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ideally, your background will include extensive experience with the interpretation and application of legislation and policy while working with cross-jurisdictional partners to address common issues and goals. An ability to proactively manage employee relations across a broad staffing base is required to effectively work within this environment. An understanding of the Maintenance Enforcement Act and regulations, the Family law Act, the Divorce Act, the Interjurisdictional Support Orders Act, and other legislation relating to or impacting child or spousal support programs is an asset.
A University degree in a related field, along with at least seven years of progressively responsible management experience in a financial, investigative, legal, client service, or related environment is required. Equivalencies will be considered. Candidates with lesser qualifications may be considered at a lower classification and salary.
$3,871.67 - $4,916.45 bi-weekly
Final candidates for this position will be asked to undergo a Security Screening. This competition may be used to fill future permanent and temporary vacancies.
