In the Coordinator role, you will be responsible for the assessment and identification of client and community needs in order to assist in coordinating the provision of multiple services. Activities will include service planning and review of an individual's progress in programs and services, including an evaluation of the appropriateness of the services provided. Utilizing a team approach with a variety of community partners, you will provide information and support to individuals, guardians and families. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills will be essential as you interact with individuals being served by service providers, parents, and community to identify short and long term needs.
As the ideal candidate, you will have demonstrated ability to work in partnership and collaboration with a broad range of stakeholders to ensure client's needs are met. You will also have strong communication, sound judgment and problem solving skills to meet the goals of this position.
About the Work Environment:
In Calgary, you will be working primarily in an office setting located in the downtown core. Travel is also required to meet with individuals throughout the region. You will also have an opportunity to connect with your counterparts in other regions.

University degree in a related field;
Minimum 4-5 years of related experience with disability programs, and/or a related client group;
Equivalencies will be considered;
Valid Class 5 driver's license is essential as travel is a requirement;
This competition may be used to fill future vacancies at an equivalent or lower level.
Experience with developmental support networks and service plans; working with community based resources.
$2,368 to $3,062 bi-weekly.
The successful candidate may be asked to undergo a Security Screening.
Note: This is a temporary salaried position to expire on or before December 31, 2013 with the possibility of extension.
