The Health Facilities Branch within the Capital Projects Division of Alberta Infrastructure is responsible for delivering major health facility infrastructure projects and as such, plays a fundamental role in providing increased access to quality health care. Projects range in size and complexity, from health clinics to complex hospital facilities, with budgets ranging from $5 million to over $1 billion. The planning and implementation of major health capital projects impacts all Albertans as the facilities must be designed and built efficiently to enable the effective delivery of health services.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Health Facilities Branch, the Director will successfully lead the overall management of branch business operations and is the link between the project planning and delivery units. You will manage all branch financial planning and reporting, operational planning and reporting, and various other business functions that support the branch, division and ministry. You will also work with representatives of both the Ministry of Health and Alberta Health Services to ensure the effective integration of processes to facilitate the planning and delivery of health infrastructure, including the commissioning of facilities. Utilizing your sound judgment, and considerable analytical, reasoning and communication skills, you will communicate priorities, motivate staff, assess results and direct overall priorities in order to successfully achieve results.This position will require your thoughtful and diligent review of expectations, processes, deliverables, systems and other impacts in order to develop and implement efficient processes and policies.
University degree or technical diploma in Architecture, Engineering or a related field. Extensive related experience in progressively senior management roles in the administration and coordination of capital programs. Project management experience related to healthcare facilities is preferred. Equivalencies will be considered.
$3,871.67 to $4,916.45 Bi-weekly ($101,050 to $128,319 Annually)
