Justice and Solicitor General
The Justice and Solicitor General Staff College provides tactical and professional training for Correctional Peace Officers, Sheriffs, Probation Officers, and Peace Officers employed by the Ministry and also assistance to outside stakeholder Community Peace Officers.
As a Curriculum Designer, you will coordinate the development and implementation of a comprehensive training framework that will meet Ministry and stakeholder needs and establish the required competencies for service delivery. As a key resource to the Staff College training managers and subject matter experts you will ensure training concepts, pedagogy, and standards are aligned with the College's training goals and outcomes. You will also provide advice and support in the identification and assessment of learning needs; design and delivery of training courses; and evaluation of expected performance outcomes. You will provide direction and support to a team of professional and technical staff responsible for curriculum development, design, production, delivery and evaluation of training programs. You will provide direction to strategic curriculum reviews, as well as, design and deliver initiatives and projects, which includes the design and delivery of an E-learning strategy. You will participate on projects and project teams to develop and implement new training programs, research initiatives related to the identification of best practices, and analysis and impacts of business improvement opportunities.
Your excellent analytical, facilitation, conflict resolution and problem solving skills will allow you to address issues and concerns in a timely and effective manner. Using your strong interpersonal and relationship building abilities, you will build and sustain positive relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders. You will have above average written and oral communication, research skills, strong understanding of learning theories, E-learning design and authoring tools, project management skills and enjoy working in a dynamic team environment.
A related university degree in curriculum design or adult education is required, plus several years of current experience in the development, delivery, and facilitation of adult-centred learning programs. Related Masters Degrees are preferred. Experience with E-learning authoring tools, learning management systems and reality-based learning are required. Experience developing learning programs in a law enforcement setting is an asset. Equivalencies considered.
$2,420.93 - $3,319.88 bi-weekly
