Are you committed to making a difference in support of our provincial Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) program? We have a temporary full time position available in our Wetaskiwin office until September 30, 2013 with the possibility of extension. This position may also be covered from the Red Deer office.
Working as part of a team of professionals, you will provide intake and case management services to severely disabled Albertans. You will be responsible for helping determine applicant eligibility for the AISH program and issuing benefits to eligible clients. This position will enable you to apply your strong customer service skills when serving our clients as you assist them in meeting their basic living needs and achieving a level of independence within our community. You will also apply your sound problem solving and judgment skills in order to assess options and identify solutions for disabled applicants with complex medical issues or for those that do not meet AISH eligibility criteria.
University degree in Social Work or Social Sciences plus one year of related experience, or a diploma in Social Work or Social Sciences and two years of related experience is required. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is desired. Experience with determining eligibility for financial assistance programs is an asset. Equivalencies will be considered.
$2,089.09 - $2,692.53 bi-weekly
Some travel for business may be required.
