Take advantage of this opportunity to help influence the direction of Alberta's English as a Second Language programs and services. This position will challenge your skills in developing and supporting innovative English as a Second Language (ESL) projects to help newcomers integrate into Alberta communities. You will work with ESL providers, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) and other Alberta departments and programs to plan and support the provision of services to enhance English as a Second Language learning opportunities for immigrants in Alberta.
Tapping into your knowledge and experience with ESL programming, you will establish critical contacts in the field to identify issues and respond to immigrant needs. Using your well-developed partnership skills, you will participate in the planning and coordination of new and innovative ESL initiatives with other departments, governments, licensing bodies, service providers and funded agencies. The key responsibility of this role is managing contractual agreements with delivery partners by ensuring that services provided are consistent with contract terms, conditions and within approved funding. Strong communication skills will serve you well in collaborating and negotiating with funded agencies, other provincial and federal government departments. A good understanding of ESL services will enhance your success in this role.
University graduation in a related field plus two to three years progressively responsible related experience is required. Contract management experience, experience teaching English as a Second Language, and experience working with immigrants are all assets. Equivalencies will be considered.
$2,420.93 - $3,175.47 Bi-weekly
