Then consider becoming an Information Analyst in Employment Standards and join our team of dedicated professionals in the ministry of Safe, Fair and Healthy Workplaces.
As the Information Analyst, you are a filter for frontline users by coordinating the information system needs and solutions for the Employment Standards (ES) program; your actions are vital to ES program staff being provided with the tools required to conduct their duties. You must understand the needs of our business area and interpret/communicate those effectively to IT. Primary responsibilities for this role would include ensuring that the Compliance Management Information System (CMIS) is accessible and meets the needs of Employment Standards (ES) staff. You will be the subject matter expert for CMIS by understanding how the system generates information, how to correctly interpret that information, analyzing report requirements and compiling report data, reviewing and investigating business requirements/specifications, performing functional and integrated user-testing and other projects. As the lead Employment Standards Program Delivery (ESPD) `Power User' you will provide support to the Information Manager on all aspects of data lifecycle management.
Excellent communication (written, verbal and non-verbal) as well as organizational skills are critical for success in this role. The incumbent must have effective research skills with an ability to compile, organize and analyze information. Project and time management skills are crucial.
University graduation in a related field (Information Technology or related preferred), with a minimum of 1 year related experience in data gathering, research and analysis, compiling reports, coordinating or conducting user acceptance testing, facilitating business training as well as experience in working with technical systems, and business and operational processes. Proficient experience working with desktop software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer) is required.
Experience working with Employment Standards, CMIS, ESIS (Employment Standards Information System, a legacy database) and Corporate Registry Searches would be preferred.
$2,113.48 - $2,772.38 Bi-weekly
