Human Services, Blairmore ? The Southwest Alberta Child and Family Services Authority is seeking a highly motivated Intake Worker who is committed to providing strong and effective intervention services to children and families. The primary focus of duties will be as an Intake Worker with additional duties as a Caseworker. Determine and assessing risk to children, making referrals to community resources and developing public awareness of child abuse issues and resources are also key responsibilities of this position.
The successful candidate must have the ability to assess risk and family functioning, the interest and ability to work closely with community partners, well-developed organization and time management skills as well as excellent written documentation and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor of Social Work Degree with some directly related experience working with children and families. Equivalencies will be considered. This role requires working knowledge of Microsoft products.
$2,368.82 to $3.062.14 Biweekly ($61,826 to $79,922 per annum)
This is a permanent salaried position. Successful applicants who possess a BSW, MSW or Diploma in Social Work will be required to be register and maintain registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers prior to commencement of employment. Significant travel is a requirement of this position therefore; the successful candidate must have a valid Alberta Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle. Final candidates for this position will be asked to undergo a Security, Academic and Intervention Record Check.
