The Community Corrections office in Sherwood Park is looking for a self-motivated individual with strong attention to detail to join our team. In this position, you will provide administrative support to the Assistant Chief Probation Officer, Senior Probation Officers, and the Probation Officers. Responsibilities include drafting correspondence, typing reports of a sensitive nature, data entry, maintaining office financial records, administering and monitoring budgets, processing invoices, purchasing, records management, scheduling, compiling and distributing monthly statistics, inventory control, payroll administration, computer site coordinator, managing incoming/outgoing mail and reception. This position has considerable contact with numerous stakeholders including Ministry staff, law enforcement and community agencies, as well as clients.
Due to the sensitive nature of the information in this work environment, your ability to maintain confidentiality and use appropriate discretion is essential. This position functions with minimal supervision, and as such, the ability to remain focused, self-motivated and organized will ensure your success in this role.
High School Diploma plus several years of related administrative experience. Government experience including internal programs such as ACOM, JOIN, CoMIS/ORCA, ExClaim, EPS and ETMS are preferred. Previous experience in a legal environment would be an asset. Equivalencies will be considered.
$1,582.24 - $1,933.21 bi-weekly
