The Divisional Coordination Branch of the Capital Projects Division of Alberta Infrastructure has a new, unique opportunity available as a Business Quality & Performance Support Intern. Reporting to the Manager, Business Process Improvement and Knowledge Management, you will be tasked with assisting in supporting various special projects and initiatives, as required, identified by the Assistant Deputy Minister, Capital Projects Division and the Division's senior management team. You will be assisting in the coordination of various cross divisional teams and participation in Ministry and cross Ministry committees, teams, initiatives and representing the Division's interests and requirements as appropriate.
You will have the opportunity to liaise directly with various branch specialists and with key divisional staff at all levels in identifying new and revised processes and systems to increase effectiveness and efficiency within the Division. In addition, you will research business practices of other jurisdictions and conduct literature reviews, as required, to identify innovations business process improvement in strategies and methodologies. Your ability to apply leadership skills to assist in building collaboration and teamwork directed at improvement of processes and practices that enable service delivery and knowledge transfer to the Division and its stakeholders will be put to use.

Business Administration or Management diploma, or a related diploma or degree, within the last 24 months is required. Experience in project planning, management principles and processes and various process facilitation techniques and methods and communication strategies would be an asset. Experience with various computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, SharePoint, Prezi and familiarization with Internet research will be considered an asset.
$1,951.38 to $2,536.65 bi-weekly ($50,931 to $66,207 annually)
This is a temporary salaried position for up to 24 months with no provisions for relocation allowances.
