Our Regional Office team is seeking a highly motivated individual to work as the Regional Administrative Assistant.

The Regional Administrative Assistant will work closely with the two Senior Managers as well as the teams that report to them, including direct support for seven individuals. The incumbent will be responsible for the provision of a variety of complex administrative support services including taking minutes, preparing reports, preparing letters, assisting with payments, maintenance of regional policies, booking and organizing meetings, etc.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required in this role as well as the ability to work independently. The successful candidates will need to be highly motivated and self-directed with strong time management and organizational skills to be considered an asset to our team.
High school diploma and one year of related experience. Equivalency: Directly related experience or education considered on the basis of: one year of experience for one year of education or one year of education for one year of experience. Please clearly indicate the length of time, in months, of your related experience.
$1,437 to $1,749 bi-weekly (based on $37,362 to $45,474 per annum)
This is a temporary salaried position ending on or before March 31, 2014 with an excellent chance of extension.
Final candidates for this position will be asked to undergo a security screening ?Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Check) and Children?s Services Intervention Check?.
Transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of the Ministry. Travel is a requirement of this position therefore the successful candidate must have a valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
An eligibility list may be established from certified candidates stemming from this competition, and these candidates may be considered to fill future vacancies in the region. Candidates with lesser qualifications may be considered at a lower classification position.
