Justice and Solicitor General
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong communication and organizational skills to provide administrative support for our Fish and Wildlife Officers. This position will be located in Valleyview.
Reporting to the District Fish and Wildlife Officer, you will be responsible for a variety of functions including preparing correspondence, receiving and recording complaints, processing and issuing applications, licenses and permits including handling of revenue, scheduling written exams, and preparation of court documents. In this administrative support role, this position will be responsible for handling routine public inquiries and providing information to customers on federal and provincial legislation and regulations in regards to Fish and Wildlife.
The successful candidate will have the ability to work in a high volume environment, be able to multi-task, change priorities as needed, and meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required in order to provide counter and reception duties. This position functions with little direct supervision, and as such, the ability to remain focused, self-motivated, and organized will ensure your success in the role.
High School Diploma plus several years of related administrative experience is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Previous experience using ENFOR will be considered an asset. Preference will be given to those candidates who have experience with Government policies and procedures as well as experience working with database systems. Related post-secondary education is an asset. Equivalencies will be considered.
$1,582.24 - $1,933.21 Bi-weekly
Final candidates for this position will be asked to undergo a security screening. This competition may be used to fill future vacancies.
